My Games: Selected Works
Jan. 31st, 2020 06:25 pmHere's an incomplete list of games that I consider to be my "best works":
Inform/Text Adventures:
Interview with a Rock Star: A short IF about an encounter with an old rock star.
Delicious Breakfast: A game about some kind of breakfast, uh, guy.
I have not made many of this type of game.
Twine games:
Out the Window: A game about obsession. Well, maybe.
Tiny Cave: A deliberately short game about exploring a cave. See also the Deluxe edition.
You Are a Blob! A weird, sort of sci-fi game with an experimental language element. Made to make a child feel better about their own game in a competition.
Beneath the Mossy Stone: A brief Alice in Wonderland style fantasy. Pretty rushed, but there's some nice imagery here.
RPG Maker games:
Landy Land: Your typical comedy RPG Maker game, starring a maniac and her enabler. Kinda janky, and not just because it was written in the bootleg version of RPG Maker 2000.
Sandy and the Christmas Card Caper: A spinoff of Landy Land, starring the young, slightly delusional witch Sandy. Honestly I'm way too proud of this one.
Mr. Bun-Bun's Pastel Adventure: A cute game about a bunny. Well. Kinda.
Bedtime Adventure: A little girl has to go to bed, but she doesn't wanna. I planned a sequel to this game, but it never panned out.
Dreamaria: Mora takes an experimental cure for their insomnia, which leads them to... somewhere. Unfinished, but the demo is longer than some of my completed games.
Room Escape: A short escape-the-room game. Not my most impressive outing, but I'm still very proud of the TV set and accompanying quiz show minigame.
The Shadow Witch: An evil witch must do evil deeds to impress her boss. An entry for the 2019 Interactive Fiction Competition. (Don't, uh, ask how it did.) I still love that gag with the busybody fairy.
Knytt Stories levels:
A Day at the Beach: A rambling sort of level about a relaxing island vacation. Mostly challenge-less, but there's a brief moderately difficult gauntlet tucked away in a corner of the map.
Bella Wolpeck: A short story-like level about a girl who journeys home and what she finds on the way.
At the Zoo: Juni searches for her friends at the zoo. A very chill sort of level.
A Visit to Grandmother's: Pretty much what it says on the tin, along with a few surprises. This feels like an archetypal "Healy" level.
Juni in the Haunted House: A spooky adventure through a haunted castle. One of my biggest levels.
Juni's Bible Adventures: Possibly my finest hour.
