Trick or Treat Ex 2015 Letter

Hello, visitor to this letter! I'm HealyG (or just plain Healy everywhere but here), and if you're here it's likely because you plan on writing me something, whether you're my assigned writer or plan to treat me or whatever. Let's get things started with some general likes/dislikes!

Likes: Comedy, action, fake documents, mysteries, humor, mysterious places, heartwarming junk, humor based on people acting like jerks (hey! I can like two things), wordplay/puns, weird junk, character studies, hypocrite humor, show-within-a-show stuff, humor about someone who blithely misunderstands the obvious, characters revealing a surprising side of themselves, mystery symbolism.

Dislikes/DNW: Underage, incest, noncon/dubcon, explicit sexual content, and excessive gore.

Tips for Tricks: I don't do horror all that well, but I do much better when everyone comes out okay, if worse for the wear. I prefer creepiness to violent, blood-soaked horror. Also, if you can make it funny, that'd be a big help.

Tips for Treats: I prefer gen to ships, but shipping is fine as long as there is equal focus on the plot/action/comedy. I have a slight preference for comedy over fluffiness, but either is okay.

I really like how Peridot is just this awful jerk who messes things up for the Crystal Gems. At the same time she obviously has trouble doing her job and keeps screwing it up. She is the Team Rocket to the Crystal Gems and that's awesome. Of course, if you want to set things after Catch and Release, where she's more of a nuisance that lives in their bathroom, I would be happy with that as well. As for other characters, I like pretty much the entire cast of Steven Universe, so feel free to use whoever so long as the focus is on Peridot.

Treats: I dunno, something funny with her workshop? Maybe she blows up something important and has to get Steven's help somehow. Or maybe she has business in Beach City and has to reluctantly interact with its people. You could have her misunderstand some common Earth/human thing, like water in When It Rains. (Note: I'd prefer treats to be more funny than fluffy with this character.)

Tricks: Something to do with horrifying gem mutants! If you want, you can do something with that massive cluster that's about to pop out of the ground... Maybe one of her experiments gets out of control? And if you want to set a story there, Homeworld doesn't seem like a very nice place...

To be honest, part of the reason I requested this one is because there's a lot of potential for creepy stories about all the glitches in this game. What would these things look like from the perspective of the game characters? Or you could do a a fairly straightforward video game creepypasta story, if such is your wont.

Of course, not everybody goes in for that type of thing, so here are some more straightforward prompts:

Link: How does he feel about being trapped in a dream? And what was he doing on that ship, anyway?

Marin: Did she know she was just a figment in the Wind Fish's dream? What about her feelings for Link?

Wind Fish: What are wind fish? We just don't know. You can make a pretty good guess, though!

Feel free to include anybody else from the game that you like! The characters are what make this story, in my opinion. If it helps you any, my favorite character is BowWow.

Closet Monster

I like closet monsters best when they're a little goofy and hard to take seriously. Maybe something that a kid would be scared of, but not an adult.

Treats: The closet monster befriends a kid! What's their friendship like? Maybe the monster has to disguise himself as a human because of hijinx.

Trick: The monster eats the kid. No, but seriously, if you still want a sympathetic closet monster, maybe he gets targeted by some secretive organization (the monster FBI?) and has to go into hiding. Or, if you wanna go down a less sympathetic route, maybe some kid is plagued by a monster and has to think up a wacky plan to smoke the him out.

That's all for now. I may go back and revise these prompts later. No promises, though.
