Chocolate Box 2018 Letter

healygHi, I'm HealyG, or Healy on AO3, and here's my Chocolate Box letter.
Gen Likes: Comedy, mysteries, heartwarming junk, humor based on people acting like jerks (hey! I can like two things), wordplay/puns, weird junk, character studies, show-within-a-show stuff, humor about someone who blithely misunderstands the obvious, characters revealing a surprising side of themselves, family fluff.
Shippy likes: UST, pining, rival shipping, relationships that end badly/tragically, relationships that turn out to work surprisingly well, one-sided relationships, "bromances" that turn into something more, affectionate touching, plotty shipfic.
Art Likes: Clean lines, bright colors (if there are any colors), cartoony faces, comics of any kind (from 4 panel gag strips to more action-oriented stuff), hidden jokes.
DNW: Rape/noncon, incest, underage sex, graphic violence, explicit sexual content.
Gravity Falls
Bill/Axolotl OR Bill & Axolotl: I feel like these two have a history that the show never really got into. I think maybe the Axolotl was the guy who gave Bill his incredible cosmic powers, and he still feels bad about what happened afterward. But you can take their relationship however you want! Maybe they go on a date in a nice space restaurant?
Bill/Stan: I'm a sucker for Enemy Mine ships, and these two have a lot in common that I'd like to see explored. Maybe Stan has amnesia, and Bill tricks him into thinking they're friends? Or maybe Stan has power over Bill somehow and he forces him to help him. (Because Dipper and Mabel are in trouble, maybe?) Or maybe Stan and Bill just have a weekend together in Vegas that BOTH of them come to regret.
All four Pines twins: Pines family cookout! OR Dipper and Mabel try to throw Stan and Ford a party for their next birthday, but it all goes horribly wrong somehow. OR Dipper and Mabel's parents find out that they let their kids stay with a crook and a mad scientist with a bad safety record and a poor sense of boundaries. Dipper and Mabel then have to work with Stan and Ford to make sure they stay in their parents' good books.
Stan & Mabel: Stan and Mabel's relationship is one of the best on the show. I like how Mabel's sweetness cuts into Stan's crankiness, and vice versa. I think it'd be fun to have them do some kind of caper together. Maybe they rob the Northwests, or run an art scam!
Ford & Mabel: I think these two are pretty cute together. Ford seems like he has a lot of problems with relationships and social skills in general, and Mabel seems like just the type who'd be willing to teach him. Maybe it turns out great, or maybe it all ends in tears.
Stan & Dipper: One thing I like about these two is that their similarities (e.g., their stubbornness, their pettiness) can cause as much conflict between them as their differences. So something that builds on that would be great. Maybe they get into a petty fight over which TV show to watch. Or maybe Dipper tricks Stan into playing one of his nerd games with him. Maybe Mabel's in trouble, and they have to team up to save her.
Ford & Dipper: I'm always a fan of these two nerds hanging out! Maybe they play another game of DD&D, or some other board game. Or they go on a monster hunt! (And then Dipper has to save Ford.)
Mabel & Wendy: They have some cute interactions on the show, and it's a shame they didn't team up more. Maybe they go on an adventure in the forest, or just hang out at the Shack.
Chrono Trigger
Lucca & Marle: I like their friendship in the game, how even though they were from two separate worlds they got along great. It's just refreshing! Maybe they have to save one of their teammates; maybe Marle invites Lucca to one of the parties at the palace, and Lucca has to work out the etiquette required; or maybe they just have a picnic.
Lucca & Robo: Their interactions in the game were very sweet. I'd love to see more of that. Some kind of missing scene where they bond would be great. You could also explore what happens to Robo after the end of the game.
Frog & Magus: I feel like they have the potential to become... well, not "friends", exactly, but something more than enemies. I'd love to see how their relationship evolves after the end of the game. (Does Frog ever really forgive Magus?)
Magus/Marle: This is my favorite CT crackship! (Crack-ish ship? The term can be a little confusing.) I feel like they could get along better than you'd expect. Maybe Magus is convinced to tone down the darkness a little because of Marle's sunniness.
Final Fantasy 6
Cyan & Gau & Sabin: I loved their interactions in the scenario they shared, so more in that vein would be great! Maybe they go on a trip together after they save the world! Or just bicker at each other at an inn.
Edgar & Sabin: I like their relationship and how it's evolved in the years before the game. Something that explores how it's changed over the course of the game would be nice. Or you could just show them hanging out. (I'm in love with their respective aesthetics, personally, although I'm not such a fan of Edgar's womanizing.)
Terra & Celes: I really like these two, and I think they have the potential to be great friends. I feel like you could get a lot of mileage out of them bonding over being used by the Empire. You could show them hanging out after the world is saved, too.
Crossover Fandom
Bruce & Stan OR Bruce/Stan: These two have a lot in common, and I'd love to see what happens when they meet. Shippy, gen, I'm good with both! Maybe they bond over pushing their respective families away over the years. (Literally, in Stan's case.) Maybe they just like complaining about Milennials together. And how do they show up in their respective universes, anyway? Does Stan get dragged into Old!Bruce's world, does Old!Bruce get zapped into Stan's? There's also the fact that they're on the opposite ends of the "crime/fights crime" scale; how do they resolve that?
