Trick or Treat 2017 Letter

Hi, I'm HealyG, or Healy on AO3, and here's my Trick or Treat letter.

Likes: Comedy, action, fake documents, mysteries, humor, mysterious places, heartwarming junk, humor based on people acting like jerks (hey! I can like two things), wordplay/puns, weird junk, character studies, hypocrite humor, show-within-a-show stuff, humor about someone who blithely misunderstands the obvious, characters revealing a surprising side of themselves, mystery symbolism.

Art Likes: Clean lines, bright colors (if there are any colors), cartoony faces, comics of any kind (from 4 panel gag strips to more action-oriented stuff), hidden jokes.

DNW: non-requested ships, underage, explicit sexual content, rape/noncon, graphic violence, anybody calling Stan "Lee" for Gravity Falls.

Tips for Tricks: Halloween-ish monsters are always a good idea (e.g., werewolves, witches, Frankensteins, vampires, etc.) I don't do straight horror all that well, but I do much better when everyone comes out okay, if worse for the wear. I prefer creepiness to violent, blood-soaked horror. Also, if you can make it funny, that'd be a big help.

Tips for Treats: Generally I prefer comedy to fluff and gen to ships, but either is fine for this exchange.

Gravity Falls
Dipper Pines, Mabel Pines, Stan Pines, Ford Pines, Bill Cipher

Pines family: Man, I love these guys. They may have their petty fights and squabbles but they still love each other deep down. I love all the inter-Pines interactions, especially either of the two Grunkles with either of the two kids.

Bill Cipher: I am just sort of entranced by this guy stumbling towards redemption in spite of himself. I love stories where either or both sets of Pines twins have to become his demonic babysitter. I ship him with both Stan and Ford, and could ship him with Dipper or Mabel if they were aged up to adults.

Juniper Tree
The Boy

The Juniper Tree is one of my favorite fairy tales; it's just so dark, with a poetic lilt to it, especially at the end.

For this exchange I'm interested in fic about the brother. He has such a sad fate, and even though it gets better, it's very ripe for drama. It must be so lonely to be resurrected as a bird and be unable to tell your own family. For this I'd prefer that you keep the magic in the story poetic and don't try to explain how, for example, the brother became a bird.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
Maria, Alucard

Maria: I really love Maria's spunk and go-getter attitude. I'm a big fan of the Alucard/Maria ship, so something cute with them post-canon would be nice. Maybe they go on a really awkward date together, or maybe she's just pining. I would also love anything about Maria fighting monsters or exploring the castle. Something about her and Richter being bros would be nice, too.

Alucard: In addition to the above Alucard/Maria prompts, I'd love anything that explores Alucard's relationship with his dad. All that baggage they have really interests me. Plus, I would also love to see Alucard interacting with the various denizens of the castle, like Death or the Librarian.

Homestar Runner
Strong Bad

Strong Bad: I love all of Strong Bad's show-within-a-show junk (e.g., Teen Girl Squad, Dangeresque, Stinkoman 20X6, Trogdor), so something focusing on that would be great. Maybe he tries to license one of them out to Bubs and it all goes to crap. Maybe he tries to start a new horror movie franchise! You could also do something about him pranking the townsfolk as well.

Castlevania: Aria and Dawn of Sorrow
Graham, Julius, Hammer, Soma

Graham Jones: I find this guy fascinating, and I want to know more of his past life before he came to the castle. How long did he think he was Dracula, and how did he come to that conclusion, anyway? I picture him as the leader of a sinister, perhaps Dracula-based cult (we were supposed to read "missionary" as "cult leader", right?), but if you prefer a more straightforward creepy missionary interpretation, that's fine, too.

Julius Belmont: I'd love more of his adventures fighting monsters, whether that's during, pre-, or post-canon. I'm not so interested in his amnesia days, but something about the battle of 1999 or the bad ending to Aria or Dawn would be nice. I'm also interested in him being a kind of mentor figure to Soma. Maybe they hang out after the games?

Hammer: Hammer is such a goofy character, and that's why I love him. I'd like something about him dealing with all the monsters in the castle as he goes about his business, or buddying around with Soma.

Soma Cruz: How does he deal with being almost-Dracula after the games are over? I imagine he relies a lot on the support of his friends (like Mina, Hammer, etc.) Does he ever have to fight pretenders to the Dracula throne again after Dawn? Something cute with him and Mina would be nice, too. And if you're doing fanart, something with him in his bat-form would be good as well.
